Official National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 21 indicate a high in the low 90s, with hourly model guidance peaking near 92°F amid mostly sunny skies and a 20-30% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. This setup keeps the 90-91°F and 92-93°F bins nearly tied in trader sentiment, as even modest shifts in cloud cover, storm timing, or boundary-layer mixing could tip the daily maximum by 1-2°F. Above-average late-September warmth stems from persistent southerly flow and high dew points, though a gradual cooling trend appears underway after recent mid-90s readings. Resolution hinges on the official KATL observation, with any early convection potentially capping the peak below model consensus.
