Official National Weather Service forecasts for September 20 emphasize morning low clouds and fog from the marine layer, followed by gradual clearing under southwest winds of 10-15 mph, producing highs mainly in the upper 70s to mid-80s at downtown sites and around 74-78°F near the coast at LAX. This pattern aligns with seasonal norms near 76°F while limiting afternoon warming compared to inland valleys. Model consensus and recent observations show stable conditions without significant heat advection or clearing anomalies that would push readings higher, positioning the 76-77°F bin as the strongest market-implied outcome. Updated NWS briefings and any late-day model runs tomorrow morning represent the key near-term data points for traders.
