Recent National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model runs indicate sunny conditions with light northwest winds for San Francisco on September 7, supporting a daily high most likely in the upper 70s°F amid a stable marine layer. This places the 78-79°F bin at the center of trader-implied odds near 41 percent, followed closely by adjacent 76-77°F and 80-81°F ranges that together capture over 80 percent of probability. Temperatures remain well above the 1991-2020 September 7 average high of 70°F but below historical extremes near 90°F, reflecting modest onshore flow and clear skies rather than heat-wave conditions. Updated afternoon observations and any revisions to boundary-layer mixing in evening model runs could still shift the final verified maximum within the narrow 76-81°F window before resolution.
