Recent forecasts from global and regional models indicate a highest temperature in Shanghai on September 11 most likely between 27–29°C, aligning with the market's tight clustering around 28°C and 29°C implied probabilities. Moderate northeasterly flow, elevated humidity near 70–80%, and variable cloud cover or light showers are expected to suppress peak heating compared to clearer conditions. These align with September climatology near 27°C while reflecting the latest model consensus favoring limited diurnal warming ahead of a potential frontal passage. Traders appear to weigh the narrow spread between official high readings and any urban heat island effects, with final resolution hinging on the next 24–48 hours of observational updates from Chinese meteorological agencies.
