Recent high-pressure conditions and clear skies over southern England have promoted strong radiative cooling overnight, positioning the lowest temperature in London on September 21 near 11°C according to multiple forecast models. Light winds and low dew points enhance this cooling, with Met Office guidance indicating a minimum around 14°C while other runs show values dipping to 10–12°C in urban areas. These factors explain the market's strong preference for 11°C (46% implied probability) and 10°C (22.5%), reflecting trader assessment of ensemble consensus and typical September nocturnal temperature drops under anticyclonic flow. Updated model runs and official Met Office briefings in the next 24 hours will likely refine these odds as the overnight period approaches.
