Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), the secretive lab founded by Ilya Sutskever, maintains a two-year record of zero public models, papers, or demos despite raising billions. Trader sentiment centers on a July 2026 long-term NVIDIA partnership that delivered a reported $5 billion investment plus order-of-magnitude more Vera Rubin compute, framed by Sutskever as validation that SSI’s internal research now merits large-scale scaling. Investor Gavin Baker’s August 2026 release speculation added short-term momentum, yet SSI’s explicit “straight-shot” mission and lack of any official timeline keep implied probabilities for a near-term public large language model release below even odds. Key upcoming catalysts include any official statements around the NVIDIA hardware ramp or year-end research updates, which could shift sentiment if they confirm or contradict the no-intermediate-product stance.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
