The reaction reflected September-quarter guidance of 9-11% revenue growth—below Street estimates—alongside warnings of significant supply constraints on advanced silicon nodes and a 2.5 percentage point foreign-exchange headwind. John Ternus assumed the CEO role on September 1, succeeding Tim Cook, while the company highlighted iPhone 17 momentum and new Siri AI features. Traders are now focused on the iPhone 18 Pro launch cycle and October 29 earnings as key near-term catalysts for price action during the week of September 21.
