ByteDance's private valuation has climbed sharply on secondary market activity, reaching a $550 billion benchmark in a February 2026 General Atlantic stake sale and advancing toward or above $600 billion in subsequent trades by April and June. This reflects robust 2025 revenue growth—exceeding Meta's in some quarters—driven by TikTok advertising and TikTok Shop e-commerce, alongside reported profits above $50 billion that support heavy 2026 AI infrastructure capex of up to $70 billion. The January 2026 U.S. approval of TikTok's majority U.S.-owned restructuring removed a key regulatory overhang, lifting implied multiples in private transactions. With no IPO on the near-term horizon and liquidity provided through employee buybacks and secondaries, trader consensus on near-term valuation thresholds by year-end hinges on continued revenue momentum versus execution risks from elevated spending and macroeconomic conditions affecting risk assets.
