Jiri Lehecka enters this Wimbledon first-round grass-court matchup as the clear market favorite against Alexei Popyrin, reflecting his higher ranking near No. 14 and stronger 2026 win rate compared to Popyrin’s sub-.400 record. Lehecka reached the Miami final earlier in the year and has shown grass-court capability, including a Queen’s Club appearance, though he recently dropped a match there after leading. Popyrin, meanwhile, has endured early exits and ranking pressure, with a loss at Eastbourne underscoring ongoing form struggles. Their head-to-head stands even at 1-1 on other surfaces, but neither has faced the other on grass, leaving Lehecka’s superior consistency and baseline power as the key edges traders appear to weigh most heavily heading into the all-important grass swing.
