**The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s dominant 86% implied probability stems primarily from its final-season narrative and record nine Emmy nominations announced in July 2026.** The CBS program, which concluded its 11-year run in May after a network cancellation, earned nods across variety series, writing, directing, and technical categories—its strongest showing ever—fueling industry sympathy and momentum heading into final-round voting that closed August 26. Voters appear to view the entry as a fitting send-off for a perennial contender that secured the prior year’s talk series trophy. In contrast, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (7.1%), Jimmy Kimmel Live! (5.0%), Saturday Night Live (2.5%), and The Daily Show (1.8%) trail despite strong critical pedigrees and consistent guild recognition, as the unified category and area-award format favor the clearest sentimental and statistical frontrunner. The Primetime Emmys air September 14 on NBC.
