Recent opinion polls for New Zealand’s November 7, 2026 general election show the National and Labour parties holding the top two positions in party vote share, leaving New Zealand First and the Green Party as the primary contenders for third place under the MMP system. New Zealand First has maintained mid-to-high single-digit support in most surveys through mid-2026, benefiting from its role in the governing coalition and targeted voter outreach, while the Greens have held steady near 10-13 percent amid consistent environmental and social policy emphasis. Smaller parties such as ACT New Zealand and the Opportunity Party register lower averages, though recent volatility in the latter’s numbers has not yet shifted trader consensus away from the established NZ First–Green contest. The narrow gap between the two leading contenders for third reflects ongoing fluctuations in minor-party support three months before election day.
