Recent polling in the run-up to Berlin’s September 20 state election shows the AfD holding steady near 17-19 percent, placing it in a tight cluster with the CDU, Left Party, Greens, and SPD. This fragmented field and proportional seat allocation create wide variance in projected AfD mandates, keeping the most likely outcomes between roughly 23 and 34 seats. Trader consensus reflects uncertainty over late-campaign swings, turnout among core supporters, and whether AfD gains in eastern states will spill over into the capital before the vote.
