NWS forecasts for Dallas on September 20 project a high near 99–100 °F under mostly sunny skies, driven by southerly flow advecting warm, humid air from the Gulf amid a strong late-summer ridge. This places readings well above the 1991–2020 average high of 88.6 °F, with heat indices potentially reaching 106–108 °F. Afternoon convection carries a 20–40 % chance of isolated storms that could briefly limit peak temperatures, introducing modest forecast spread across guidance. Official resolution uses the National Weather Service reading at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, where recent model runs and local observations cluster in the upper 90s to low 100s, aligning with the market’s tight clustering between the 96–97 °F and 98–99 °F bins.
