Recent forecasts from multiple meteorological sources, including Chinese weather services and international models, project a daily high in Chengdu on September 2 around 30–34°C under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with light winds, aligning with the seasonal transition from peak summer heat. Late August observations recorded consistent highs of 33–35°C amid lingering warm, humid conditions in the Sichuan Basin, supporting elevated trader weighting toward 34–35°C outcomes. These probabilities reflect model consensus on modest cooling from reduced solar heating and potential cloud increases, while historical September averages near 30°C and low precipitation chances limit downside risk below 32°C. Updated short-range guidance expected in the next 24–48 hours could refine these market-implied odds.
