**Trader consensus centers on an 84–87°F peak for the official Los Angeles temperature on August 26, reflecting National Weather Service guidance that marine-layer stratus and persistent onshore flow will moderate conditions at the primary reporting station.** Coastal and airport sites are forecast to reach only the lower-to-mid 80s after morning low clouds and fog clear, while stronger heat builds farther inland under the expanding upper-level ridge. Recent model runs and NWS zone forecasts show little change through mid-week, with southwest winds near 15 mph limiting further warming. Historical August averages near 77°F and the absence of strong offshore flow keep probabilities tightly clustered around these values, though any late-day clearing or forecast shift could nudge readings slightly higher before resolution.
