This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Benito Juárez International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 28 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models and official guidance point to a daily maximum near 25°C in Mexico City on August 28, driven by the city's high elevation of roughly 2,240 meters and the peak of the rainy season.** Afternoon convection, widespread cloud cover, and scattered thunderstorms—common in late August—limit solar heating and produce evaporative cooling that caps peak temperatures. Multiple sources, including Met Office and regional forecasts, converge on highs of 24–26°C, with 25°C emerging as the most probable outcome amid typical seasonal variability. Recent model runs show persistent moisture and northerly flow reinforcing these conditions, while historical August averages hover around 23–25°C. Traders assign the bulk of probability to this narrow range, reflecting confidence in the consensus forecast while leaving modest room for slight model shifts or localized variations in storm timing.
