Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a Thursday night low in Dallas near 78–81°F amid a persistent heat dome, with daytime highs forecast near 100–104°F and light northerly-to-easterly winds. Clear to partly cloudy skies will promote radiative cooling overnight, yet elevated dew points near 65–70°F and the urban heat island limit the drop, keeping readings above the 75.6°F August climatological average. Trader consensus clusters tightly around 75–81°F because ensemble spreads in boundary-layer mixing and timing of any weak frontal passage create comparable odds for sub-78°F versus mid-80°F outcomes; updated 00Z model runs tonight will be the next key data point before resolution.
