This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Station in degrees Celsius on 28 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eham If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Forecast models from sources including the Met Office and European ensembles indicate a high near 21–24°C in Amsterdam on August 28, driven by a southwest flow advecting milder maritime air while scattered showers and thunderstorms increase cloud cover and evaporative cooling. This setup creates tight clustering around the 20–23°C bins, with precipitation timing and intensity the key variables: earlier or heavier rain favors outcomes at or below 21°C by limiting insolation, whereas delayed or lighter activity allows peaks near 24–25°C under partial clearing. Persistent southwesterly winds of 10–15 mph further moderate daytime maxima relative to the late-August climatological average of 21.3°C, while residual warmth from a recent heat spell keeps sub-18°C scenarios unlikely absent an unusually strong frontal passage. The balanced 50% market pricing across thresholds reflects this narrow envelope of uncertainty in short-range guidance, with resolution hinging on the exact evolution of convective activity over the next 48 hours.
