This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 MLB American League West division. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League West division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The Houston Astros hold a narrow lead in the AL West standings near .508 with roughly 43 games remaining, supported by standout performances from core contributors like Yordan Alvarez, giving traders the clearest edge in the 2026 division race. The Texas Rangers sit just a half-game back at .504 after hovering near .500 for weeks, benefiting from solid home splits and a recent surge that has kept them competitive despite modest run differentials. Seattle trails by 4.5 games following inconsistent results that have left them below expectations, while the Athletics and Angels remain double-digit games out with limited paths to contention. Recent series outcomes and bullpen stability have reinforced the top two as the primary contenders in trader consensus, though the division's overall mediocrity leaves room for late swings based on remaining schedule and health.
