If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The early 2026 MLS regular season has kept the Coach of the Year market tightly contested, with Brian Schmetzer, Javier Mascherano, Nico Estévez, and Bradley Carnell clustered as the frontrunners in trader consensus. Multiple clubs occupy strong positions near the top of the Eastern and Western Conference standings after roughly a dozen matches, driven by consistent recent form, solid defensive structures, and effective attacking transitions that have produced favorable goal differences. No single side has pulled away decisively, while head coaches with prior playoff success or strong historical records continue to share the spotlight amid fluid results and limited separation in points per game. This balanced landscape of outcomes across contenders has sustained the narrow implied probabilities reflected in current pricing.
