The wide distribution of implied probabilities across dozens of quarterbacks reflects the inherent unpredictability of identifying the Week 1 passing touchdowns leader in a single NFL game. With no dominant consensus favorite, traders price Joe Burrow and Jared Goff highest at 9.5% each, followed by Justin Herbert and Matthew Stafford near 7%, as favorable early-season matchups, offensive line health, and scheme familiarity create multiple pathways to four or more scores. Recent training camp reports on passing volume, red-zone usage, and defensive vulnerabilities against the pass further fragment sentiment, while historical Week 1 variance—where longshots frequently emerge—keeps lower-priced options like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and several rookies viable. This bunched pricing captures the league-wide parity in opening-week conditions.
