This market will resolve to "Yes" if the US Senate passes a reconciliation bill between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the US Government. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Republican control of both chambers enables reconciliation to advance budget measures with a simple majority, bypassing the filibuster. Senate Republicans completed the second such package in June 2026, delivering roughly $70 billion for ICE and CBP enforcement after a marathon vote-a-rama; the measure cleared the House and was signed into law. A July House budget resolution advanced instructions for a potential third bill, yet key senators including McConnell and Collins have signaled opposition to additional packages focused on defense or offsetting cuts. A Senate Budget Committee resolution released in early August keeps procedural pathways open, but internal divisions and competing priorities create uncertainty around floor consideration before year-end deadlines.
