Forecasts from multiple sources indicate a high in the upper 80s°F for Chicago on August 30, 2026, driven by southerly flow advecting warmer, moist air ahead of a weak front, with partly to mostly cloudy skies limiting full solar heating and possible morning showers. This setup aligns with the market's tight clustering around 84–87°F outcomes, where modest differences in model guidance on cloud cover, wind gusts up to 25 mph, and any afternoon convection create the observed uncertainty between those bins. Historical late-August averages near 81°F provide context, but current pattern support keeps extremes below 90°F unlikely without a stronger warm-air surge. Updated NWS and model runs tomorrow morning will refine the precise maximum before resolution.
