Recent forecasts from multiple models, including ECMWF and GFS runs updated September 12, indicate a peak daytime high near 37–38°C in Jeddah on September 13 under partly cloudy skies with light southwesterly winds and high humidity near 60%. This aligns with the seasonal climatology for late summer along the Red Sea coast, where persistent high pressure and warm sea-surface temperatures around 31°C sustain elevated readings without significant advection of cooler air. Trader consensus, reflected in the 41% implied probability for 37°C and 25.5% for 38°C, centers on these model outputs, while lower odds for 39°C or above account for potential minor cooling from increased cloud cover or wind shifts. Official resolution will rely on verified station measurements, with the next model updates expected to refine the range.
