Recent National Weather Service model consensus and ensemble guidance point to a maximum temperature in the low 70s°F for New York City on September 15, driven by high pressure, clear to mostly clear skies, and light southerly flow following a cool front. This setup favors modest daytime warming without significant moisture or cloud cover to suppress highs, consistent with early-fall climatology where average maxima hover near 75°F but recent northerly influences have tempered readings. Trader positioning, with 72-73°F at 65.5% implied probability and 70-71°F at 22.5%, reflects this stable short-range forecast; any last-minute model shifts or observational updates from local stations could still nudge the final recorded high within the 70-73°F window.
