Recent forecast guidance from agencies including the China Meteorological Administration points to a daily maximum of 28–30°C in Shanghai on September 10, with light rain or overcast skies and northerly winds around 10–15 km/h likely moderating afternoon peaks. Model consensus shows modest uncertainty in exact timing of any showers, which could limit readings to 28°C or permit brief clearing that pushes the high to 29°C. A strong El Niño event, with equatorial Pacific sea-surface temperatures exceeding 2.5°C, supports regionally warmer-than-average autumn conditions in eastern China, though local cloud cover and precipitation timing remain the dominant short-term variables. Official observations will resolve the market based on the verified daily maximum.
