**Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts for Los Angeles on September 4, 2026, show overnight lows centered in the lower-to-mid 60s°F, directly supporting the market's leading outcomes of 66-67°F (52%) and 64-65°F (31%).** Persistent marine layer and onshore southwesterly flow from the Pacific are the dominant drivers, maintaining moderate humidity and limiting clear-sky radiative cooling that would otherwise produce lower minima. Official guidance from sources such as WeatherBug, Globalmeteo, and WindBorne consistently projects 63–65°F overnight lows under partly cloudy to low-cloud conditions, consistent with the September climatological average low of 64.5°F at downtown or LAX stations. No significant synoptic changes—such as offshore winds or anomalous high pressure—are expected in the next 24 hours to shift temperatures outside this narrow range. Historical records confirm that September 4 lows below 60°F are rare (only a handful of instances since 1906), explaining the modest 21.5% implied probability for 55°F or below, while warmer extremes above 70°F remain unlikely given the established onshore pattern. Traders are therefore pricing the high-confidence zone around the forecast consensus, with resolution hinging on the official minimum recorded at primary Los Angeles reporting stations.
