Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a moderate high near 76–82°F in Los Angeles on September 3, driven by persistent onshore flow and a strengthening marine layer that limits daytime heating along the coast. Morning low clouds and fog are expected to clear by midday, followed by southwest winds around 10–15 mph that enhance cooling. This pattern aligns with climatological averages of 76–77°F for the date and explains why the 76–77°F outcome holds a 60% market-implied probability. Limited model spread and absence of offshore winds or upper-level ridging reduce the chance of warmer readings above 80°F. Updated NWS guidance and morning observations tomorrow will provide the final verification data.
