This aligns with the market's strong consensus on 16°C, reflecting typical early-spring conditions where average September highs reach about 15°C amid variable westerlies and occasional frontal passages. Model consensus shows limited spread, with no major low-pressure systems or cold outbreaks expected to suppress temperatures, though wind speeds near 20–25 mph could influence localized readings. Traders are weighting official MetService guidance and ensemble runs, which favor outcomes in the 15–17°C band as resolution approaches.
