This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the LaGuardia Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 28 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=klga This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus from National Weather Service (NWS) and other models points to an overnight minimum of 68–72°F for New York City on August 28, 2026, driven by a post-frontal air mass with lingering moisture and cloud cover that limits radiative cooling.** NWS tabular forecasts for Central Park show a low near 70°F (with nearby airports at 70–71°F), while detailed hourly guidance indicates upper-60s readings possible under partly to mostly cloudy skies after any evening showers. Persistent humidity (dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s) and light northwest winds reduce the typical August nocturnal temperature drop, keeping the minimum warmer than the long-term average low near 66–67°F. Recent model runs have shown little change, with no strong cold advection expected; any clearing overnight could allow a dip toward 68°F, while thicker clouds would hold readings near 72–73°F. These factors align with the market’s heavy weighting on the 70–73°F bins, reflecting trader assessment of current NWS and ensemble guidance ahead of the day’s resolution.
