Official National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for New York City point to an overnight low near 69–72°F on September 17 amid a mild, humid southerly flow and mostly cloudy skies that limit radiative cooling. Persistent cloud cover and light-to-moderate southwest winds are the main factors keeping minimums from falling further, while any clearing or lighter winds overnight could allow readings in the upper 60s. Model guidance shows only modest spread on these details, which explains why trader-implied odds cluster tightly around the 68–73°F bins with no single outcome exceeding one-third probability. Updated NWS guidance and next model runs will provide the clearest near-term signals ahead of the day’s resolution.
