Governor Gretchen Whitmer's endorsement of Stevens and substantial outside spending supporting her have boosted visibility in western Michigan media markets, while El-Sayed draws strength from grassroots organizing and criticism of independent expenditures. Voter priorities around electability, healthcare policy, and immigration stances contribute to the balance, with no decisive local shifts yet evident in Grand Rapids-area precincts. Upcoming final-week advertising, debate performances, and turnout among suburban Democrats could provide separation ahead of primary day.
