Incumbent Mayor Jeff Fawcett leads trader consensus at 60 percent in the Brandon, Manitoba municipal election scheduled for October 28, 2026, reflecting his established record in office and formal re-election registration in May 2026. The race features limited competition, with only two candidates officially registered for mayor as of mid-August: Fawcett and challenger Len Isleifson, a former Brandon East MLA and city councillor who announced his bid in 2025 and registered shortly after the May 1 opening. Isleifson’s platform emphasizes public safety, sustainable economic growth, and improved community services, yet the market assigns him 33.5 percent amid the incumbent’s structural advantages in name recognition and recent governing continuity. No other mayoral contenders have emerged to shift positioning, keeping the contest focused on these two ahead of the vote.
