Recent weather model consensus from sources including ECMWF and GFS indicates stable high-pressure conditions over Beijing through early September, supporting mostly sunny skies, light southerly winds, and minimal cloud cover on September 4 that favor daytime highs near 32–33 °C. Official and ensemble forecasts cluster tightly around these values, with limited spread due to the absence of incoming cold fronts or significant moisture that could suppress or enhance temperatures. This setup aligns with the market’s tight 32 °C versus 33 °C contest, as small differences in afternoon insolation or boundary-layer mixing could shift the daily maximum by 1 °C. Above-average warmth relative to September climatology reflects the ongoing warm anomaly but remains within typical late-summer variability.
