Recent observations show consistent highs of 33–34.9°C through mid-to-late August, driven by southeasterly or southwesterly flow, localized afternoon thundery showers, and humid conditions that limit nocturnal cooling. Forecast models and agency guidance converge on peak readings near 33°C, with only modest upside risk to 35°C on drier days and limited downside from scattered convection. This alignment of climatological persistence and short-term model consensus underpins the market's strong preference for 33°C as the most probable outcome.
