Chou Chun-mi, the Democratic Progressive Party incumbent, holds an 86.5% implied probability as the leading outcome in the Pingtung County magistrate race, while Kuomintang challenger Su Ching-chuan sits at 14.5%. DPP party officials formally nominated Chou for a second term in February 2026, building on her narrow 2022 victory and continued local governance role. KMT leadership selected Su as its nominee in December 2025, reviving the same matchup from the prior cycle. Trader consensus reflects Chou’s incumbency advantages, established voter base in the county, and the absence of major recent disruptions or competing candidacies that could fragment support. The November 2026 election timeline leaves room for standard campaign developments to influence final margins.
