Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), the stealth lab founded by former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, has yet to release any public large language model, API, paper, or demo after roughly two years of operation. Trader attention centers on a late-July 2026 long-term partnership with NVIDIA that includes an investment and expanded access to Vera Rubin GPU systems, boosting compute resources by an order of magnitude and signaling readiness to scale training. Speculation intensified after investor Gavin Baker indicated on a podcast that a first model could arrive in August 2026, though SSI itself has issued no confirmation and continues to emphasize its singular focus on safe superintelligence. Upcoming catalysts include any official announcements around the rumored timeline or further hardware deals that could accelerate or delay a public release.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
