Forecast consensus from regional models and the Instituto de Meteorología e Hidrología de Panamá points to a daily maximum near 28–30 °C for Panamá City on September 10, with scattered showers and persistent cloud cover expected to limit surface heating. High humidity and light winds under a strengthening El Niño regime further suppress peak temperatures by enhancing evaporative cooling and reducing incoming solar radiation, though brief clear spells could allow brief spikes toward 31–32 °C. Historical September averages hover around 29–30 °C, and current observational trends show similar moderation from afternoon convection. The tight clustering of market-implied odds between 31 °C and 32 °C reflects genuine uncertainty in mesoscale model runs regarding exact timing and coverage of cloud breaks ahead of tomorrow’s official high-temperature reading.
