Singapore’s prevailing southwest monsoon and below-average rainfall outlook are anchoring trader expectations around a 33°C daily maximum for September 7. Official Meteorological Service guidance projects maximum temperatures of 33–35°C on most days in the first half of September under fair, occasionally windy conditions, with localized afternoon showers offering limited cooling. Short-range model runs cluster daily highs near 31–34°C, consistent with recent observations of 32–34°C amid haze influences from regional fires. Forecast uncertainty centers on exact timing and intensity of any thundery showers or shifts in southeasterly flow, which could trim or boost the peak by 1°C. Updated National Environment Agency guidance and afternoon model cycles ahead of the date will likely drive any further market adjustments.
