Israeli military operations continue in southern Lebanon’s Tyre district, with recent airstrikes, artillery fire, and demolitions targeting areas such as Al-Mansouri amid efforts to degrade Hezbollah infrastructure and maintain a self-declared security zone along the border. Ground forces have expanded positions beyond initial lines into nearby villages but have not conducted reported incursions into Tyre city itself, following earlier evacuation warnings and strikes in June. A U.S.-brokered framework agreement aims to address withdrawal and disarmament issues, yet implementation remains stalled according to Lebanese officials, with Israel linking any pullback to Hezbollah’s removal from the area. These dynamics, alongside periodic cross-border incidents, shape trader assessments of near-term ground entry risks into the coastal city.
