Current National Weather Service forecasts for Austin show a continued hot pattern with southerly flow and increasing moisture, pointing to an overnight low in the mid-70s (around 76–77°F) for September 3. This reflects typical late-summer conditions where high dew points and partial cloud cover from scattered showers limit radiative cooling, keeping minima above the 71°F climatological average. Trader odds remain tightly bunched across the 69–79°F range because model guidance shows modest uncertainty in cloud timing and any thunderstorm outflow that could briefly drop readings a few degrees, while the slim tail probabilities for extremes capture the low but non-zero chance of either enhanced mixing or clearer skies altering the minimum.
