**Persistent warm and humid conditions under light southeasterly flow are keeping overnight lows in Houston near or slightly above normal for early September.** Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and model guidance point to a minimum temperature in the upper 70s on September 9, with limited radiative cooling expected amid high dew points near 77°F, partly cloudy skies, and a 20-50% chance of showers or thunderstorms that could further moderate temperature drops. This aligns with the market's tight clustering around 76-81°F outcomes, reflecting trader assessment of typical late-summer patterns where daily lows average 74°F but recent weeks have trended warmer. Key variables include the timing of any convective activity and exact wind speeds overnight, which could shift the realized low by a few degrees before resolution.
