Trader consensus heavily favors a 19–20°C minimum in Tokyo on September 10, with those outcomes capturing nearly 80% of market-implied probability. The primary driver is a cool, moist northeasterly flow behind a frontal boundary that has delivered persistent cloud cover, light rain, and suppressed radiational cooling overnight. Official guidance from sources including the Japan Meteorological Agency and ensemble models shows overnight lows stabilizing near 19–20°C under overcast skies and northerly winds of 5–10 m/s, with daytime highs only reaching 21–23°C. This setup aligns closely with recent cool anomalies for early September and leaves limited scope for warmer or colder extremes absent a sharp forecast shift. Final resolution will hinge on the 24-hour minimum recorded by official stations through the night of September 9–10.
