Meta's stock closed at $559.02 on August 24 amid ongoing pressure from its July 29 Q2 earnings, where revenue rose 28% to $60.8 billion on ad strength but EPS missed estimates due to $2.4 billion in legal charges and severance costs tied to restructuring. Heavy AI infrastructure spending, including a new BlackRock joint venture for a 1GW data center, has narrowed margins and elevated full-year capex guidance to $130-145 billion, creating short-term headwinds. A New Mexico child-safety trial added further overhang with an additional $567 million abatement order. Traders weigh these costs against Meta's expanding AI tools for advertisers and core platform growth as the primary drivers of near-term price action on August 25.

If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No".
Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding.
If Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50.
For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange.
