Bailey Ober's reliable start (3-1, 3.55 ERA) provides the Minnesota Twins a clear pitching advantage over struggling Miles Mikolas (0-3, 8.23 ERA) for the Washington Nationals in game two of their midweek series at Nationals Park. The Twins (15-20, 5th AL Central) aim to halt a five-game road losing streak and 3-7 slump over their last 10 games, facing a Nationals squad (16-19, 3rd NL East) that's 5-5 lately amid middling home form. Both rotations are thinned by injuries—Twins' Joe Ryan (elbow soreness, TBD) and Nationals' Luis García Jr. (wrist, MRI pending)—heightening bullpen importance in a contest between sub-.500 clubs.
