The 2026 Quebec general election is scheduled to be held no later than October 5, 2026. This market will resolve to the individual who is formally appointed as Premier of Quebec as a result of the specified elections. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally appointed as Premier following the specified elections. Any interim or caretaker head of government will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Premier is appointed by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Quebec; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the Parti Québécois, which holds a consistent edge in recent polling averages ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election, positioning his party to form government and install him as premier.** Recent polls place the PQ near 30 percent support, ahead of the Liberals and CAQ, with particular strength among francophone voters that translates into favorable seat projections under the province’s first-past-the-post system. Christine Fréchette, who assumed the CAQ leadership and premiership in April 2026, and Charles Milliard, who took the Liberal helm in February, trail as their parties register lower vote intentions and face challenges consolidating support. St-Pierre Plamondon’s recent pledge to defer any sovereignty referendum until after the current U.S. administration has drawn attention but has not altered the underlying polling dynamics. Traders therefore assign the highest implied probability to the PQ leader based on current vote-share trends and historical patterns of how Quebec’s electoral map converts popular support into seats.
