Mat Siscoe, the incumbent mayor seeking a second term in the October 26, 2026, St. Catharines municipal election, holds an 87% implied probability in the market after winning nearly 69% of the vote in 2022. His established record on council, restrained tax growth, and roles chairing regional transit and housing bodies underpin trader positioning ahead of the August 21 nomination deadline. The remaining candidates—Anthony A. Adeoye, Ann-Marie Zammit, Jimmy Jackson, and Henry Bosch—registered with platforms centered on public safety, housing, and downtown issues but entered without comparable elected experience or name recognition. Recent flood recovery efforts by the city have kept the incumbent in public view, while the short campaign window limits challengers' ability to shift consensus before election day.
