Coinbase Global (COIN) shares surged more than 9% to close at $191.45 on September 14 amid optimism over the pending U.S. Senate vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and multiple analyst upgrades, including Compass Point raising its rating to Neutral with a $177 price target. Bitcoin traded near $78,000, providing a tailwind for crypto-linked equities, while Goldman Sachs lifted its target to $219 and Morgan Stanley initiated coverage at $250. The stock remains highly sensitive to trading volumes, Bitcoin price swings, and regulatory developments, with the company’s next earnings release scheduled for late October. Recent momentum reflects shifting sentiment on policy clarity, though broader market volatility and mixed prior-quarter results continue to influence positioning.
