Recent forecast model consensus from sources including the GFS and ECMWF points to a daily maximum near 17–18°C in Buenos Aires on September 9 under mostly cloudy conditions, light northeasterly flow, and stable high pressure near 1018–1019 hPa that limits strong afternoon heating. This aligns with observed highs of 17°C the prior day and cooler September baselines around 14.7°C. Market-implied odds favoring 20°C likely reflect trader weighting of residual model spread, potential for brief clearing to allow extra warming, and historical September variability where peaks have reached 22°C early in the month. Updated SMN observations and afternoon model runs will clarify resolution thresholds as the day progresses.
