**Forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models converge on a sunny, hot day with highs in the upper 90s to low 100s under persistent high pressure and southerly flow.** This aligns with the ongoing September heat wave that has already produced multiple 100°F+ days and a heat advisory through Wednesday evening, with heat indices potentially reaching 105–107°F. The close split between 98–99°F (49%) and 100–101°F (43%) reflects minor differences in guidance on peak timing, boundary-layer mixing, and whether the official Dallas–Fort Worth Airport reading edges just over or under 100°F. Historical September 9 highs average 91.5°F, and recent dry conditions with minimal cloud cover support temperatures well above normal, though any unexpected late-day cooling or measurement variance keeps the two leading bins nearly even.
